Brownsburg West Middle School

The 8th grade basketball team went to county opponent Tri-West last night to take on the Bruins in the first game of a back-to-back this week. Both teams saw little resistance as they came out exploding on offense. This would be the theme of the night as the game would go back and forth until the Dogs grabbed a 5-point lead late to hold on first their first win of the season 50-49. Joseph Usani would lead all scorers with 21 points to go with his 11 rebounds. Zack Hoover found some of his offensive rhythm scoring a season high 15. Gavin Arnold scored some key buckets late to finish with 8 points. The spark of the night was EJ Johnson as he came off the bench and had a solid floor game scoring 6 points and made a few key assists as well. The team will host Zionsville tonight.
