Brownsburg West Middle School

The 8th grade basketball team started the season off in front of a nice crowd at the varsity fieldhouse against East. The team played hard and competed on the defensive end to keep the game close at the start. East took advantage of a second quarter scoring drought to take a 9 point lead into the half. There was no quit in the second half as West would cut the lead down to 6 on several occasions before dropping the first game 28-34. Joseph Usani led the team with 9 points and 13 rebounds while also taking a charge. Zach Hoover had 9 while Taevin Owens added 4 points. The team will host Westfield on Tuesday.
