Brownsburg West Middle School

Last night, the 8th grade football team traveled to Carmel to take on the Greyhound Blue team. In the first quarter, the Dogs wasted no time taking control of the game. Quarterback Evan Arnold fired a touchdown pass to wide receiver Anthony Inge. Arnold also ran for a touchdown and the Dogs took a commanding 18-0 lead into halftime. On defense, the Dogs were lead by defensive tackles Roland Adegboye and Owen Spice who were uninvited guests in the Greyhound backfield all game long. Linebackers Sam Prickel and Jamal Yekimi proved to be hard-hitting headaches for the Greyhound offense. Birthday boy, Miles Mays, was a ball hawk in all four quarters of the game. He picked off the Greyhound quarterback three times preserving the shutout. West took home a 26-0 victory proving to be the better team in a powerhouse program top dog tussle. The team is back in action next Wednesday to take on Avon in what promises to be a tough and rugged Northwest Suburban Conference season closer.
