Last night, the BWMS 8th Grade Football Team played a very good Center Grove North team on the road. In the first quarter, Miles Mays followed the blocks of his offensive line and scored a 50- yard touchdown. Anthony Inge caught the 2-point conversion and the Dogs took an 8-0 lead into halftime. The second half was a battle. It featured two hard-hitting, physical football teams that were hungry for a victory. Time and time again, the Center Grove offense drove the football into the Dogs' red zone. Time and time again, the resilient Dogs defense shut the door. The defense was lead by several players. Braxton Moffitt celebrated his birthday with the game's only interception. Sam Prickel, Evan Arnold and Quentin Bowe all contributed with hard-hitting tackles. Roland Adegboye had a breakout game from his defensive tackle position disrupting the Center Grove offense on several occasions. In the end, the Dogs took home an 8-0 win. The team returns home next Thursday evening to play the Zionsville Eagles. We hope to see you there!
