Brownsburg West Middle School

The 8th Grade West Bulldogs hosted Cascade in the first round of the Conference Tournament Wednesday night, and the Dogs came out hungry. West jumped out to a 17–5 lead at the end of the first quarter, using a balanced offensive attack to break Cascade’s full-court pressure. The Bulldogs continued to score heading into halftime, taking a commanding 29–14 lead into the break. The second half turned into a defensive battle, with both teams struggling to find the bottom of the net, but West did enough to close out a 32–19 victory and advance to tonight’s matchup against the defending conference champions from Tri-West. Logan Downs led the Bulldogs in scoring with 9 points, followed by Roman Easton with 7. On the glass, Kingston Rideout pulled down 7 rebounds, while Levi Deer added 6.
