The West Bulldogs traveled to Westfield to take on the Franklin Central Flashes in the semifinals of the Conference Tournament, looking to even the score after a decisive 16-point loss to the Flashes in late December—one in which the Dogs were dominated on the boards. This time, West came out focused and playing with purpose. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 6–0 lead and continued to grind throughout the first half, taking a 25–21 advantage into the break. In the third quarter, the Dogs pushed the lead to as many as eight, but Franklin Central answered with a strong surge down the stretch. A driving bucket with 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter gave the Flashes their first lead of the game. West had one final look to tie with a three-pointer, but the shot came up short, sending Franklin Central to the championship game with a 47–44 win. Despite the tough loss, this was the most competitive game the Bulldogs have played. Logan Downs led all scorers with 17 points while adding six rebounds. Brady Wilburn finished with 12 points, and Roman Easton ran the floor exceptionally well, scoring seven points and dishing out several key assists while committing just two turnovers under intense guard pressure. The Bulldogs also won the rebounding battle, 24–20. West will look to learn from this hard-fought loss and be ready for the County Tournament matchup against Cascade on Wednesday.
