The 7th grade softball team evened their record to 2-2 last night with an 11-1 win over Carmel. Ava Grace Pogue was 4 for 4 at the plate with two singles, a double, and a triple. She was also 3 for 3 with nearly hitting Coach Price with her foul balls. Alyssa Bush had a standout night with a two singles, five stolen bases, and a fantastic line out grab to end an inning. Olivia Perez also added an RBI later in the game, and Jordyn Zollner finished off the greyhounds with an RBI for the 11th run. The girls hope to continue this trend Wednesday night at home against Creekside.
The 7th grade softball team added a tally to the win column last night against Creekside. Not even The Weather Channel app could predict the storm that was brewing in the Bulldogs dugout. The cracks of their bats and a rolling thunder of Coach Price’s voice motivated the Dogs to rain in their 12 runs. Addy Mock, Laniah Walkine, and Bailey Sanchez each had singles on the night. Aubrey Gallagher had a double and had a great tag out at home, and Ava Grace Pogue stepped in to pitch and had a double on the night in addition to nearly hitting Coach Price (again) and third base runners (for the first time). The girls hope to bring this jeans and jersey energy into their East vs. West game tonight.
The 8th grade softball team started the week off strong on Monday with a 12-2 win over Carmel Middle School. Kenzie Cress led the team on the mound recording 11 strikeouts on the night. McKenzie Shobe and Chloe Chandler each scored a team high of 3 runs. Sierra Green had a big hit in the 3rd moving base runners. The entire team did a great job bringing the energy! The 8th grade softball team is back in action on Wednesday against Creekside Middle School.
The 8th grade softball improved their record to 3-2 on the road last night beating Creekside Middle School 18-0. The dogs came out ready to play scoring 9 runs in the first inning! Avery Toole led the team on the mound as well as scoring. She recorded 12 strikeouts on the night and scored 4 runs for the dogs. Peyton Forslund had a great hit in the 4th inning. The entire team did a great job offensively, bunting and base running. The 8th grade softball team’s next game is tonight versus Brownsburg East.
Last night the 7th grade baseball team hosted Carmel Middle School. The Bulldogs collected their first victory of the season, Beating Carmel MS, 35-7 in 3 innings. Connor Cruz had a solid night on the mound giving up just three hits, while striking out five. The Bulldogs totaled ten hits on the night, Elle McCulloch, Connor Cruz and Vincent Painter each collected multiple hits. McCulloch and Cruz also had multiple RBI’s on the night. Defensively the Bulldogs did not commit a single error. Your Bulldogs next outing will be Wednesday, when they host Creekside Middle School at 5:30pm.
Last night the 7th grade baseball team hosted Creekside middle school. The Bulldogs played a tough game but came up a little short losing 8-5. Last nights top performers for the Bulldogs include, Cade Elkins, who went 1 for 2 at the plate with 3 RBI’s, and 2 base on balls. Conner Cruz was 2 for 3 at the plate with a stand up double, and scored 3 runs. Defensively Logan Polen had a solid performance on the mound. Logan had 3 strikeouts, while only walking 2 batters and only giving up 3 earned runs. There were also multiple great plays made by both the infield and outfield on defense. The Bulldogs next outing will be this Saturday in the EAST vs WEST game, this game will be played at 9am at the High School field.
Last night the 8th grade baseball team took on Carmel MS. The dogs jumped out to an early lead behind the bat of Noah Dininger, but eventually 1-11. Pitching for the Dogs were Aidan McKroskey and Jackson Wagner who combined for a total of 7 strikeouts. Nice defensive plays came from Drew Bergman. The team will be back in action against Creekside on Wednesday.
The 8th grade baseball team traveled to Creekside last night to take on the Cougars. The Dogs won in exciting fashion 5-4. Jacob Bergman was the standout player of the night recording multiple outs and a diving catch with bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th inning to keep the Dogs alive. Jacob also scored the game winning run off the bat of Jackson Wagner. Luke Albrecht and Drew Bergman combined for a good showing on the mound and the dogs’ defense had their best game of the year. The team will play East on Saturday morning at the BHS varsity field.
Track and Field
The Boys Track team notched a 72-51 victory last night versus New Augusta. The Dogs are continuing to improve and are getting better each meet. Top Performers for the Dogs:

Last night’s track meet for the JV team was a soggy start. The overcast skies were in our favor as the rain stopped and the wind was gone. All of our high jumpers went out to win! Caleb Westfall tied for 1st with a height of 4 feet 6 inches. Maddie Stainbrook earned 1st with a height of 4 feet. Mia Abercrombie was able to take 2nd!
Our distance runners did a fantastic job against East. In the 1600, we had Grace Hawkins get first with a time of 7.01. Reese McCrocksey earned 3rd with a time of 7.45 and Elyse Baird earned 4th with a time 7.47 earning her a PR!
Girls also did fantastic with the 800 meter run. Grace Hawkins earned first again with a time of 3.02 and Remy Rhoades earned 3rd with a time of 3.13. Reese McCroskey earned 5th with a time of 3.30. The boys did a nice job as well. Caleb Westfall earned 3rd with a time of 2.54!
The 2400 was a great race before the skies started to darken. Abigail Altschul earned 1st for the girls with a time of 10.45. Layla Patty earned 2nd with a time of 11.19 and Remy Rhoades earned 3rd with a time of 12.25. Fantastic job girls!

Last night the dogs faced the Center Grove track team. Even though it wasn’t a win this time, the bulldogs set lots of personal records and showed great improvement!
Maggie Gaughn placed 2nd in the 1600 meter run and 3rd in the 800 meter run with a PR of 2.41
Sophia Bragg placed first in the 2400 meter run with a PR of 9.31
Laila Campbell placed third in high jump
Tamea Richard placed third in the 100 meter dash and third in the 200 meter dash

Girls Varsity Tennis lost to Avon South, 1-4. Jillian McKain and Shanti Sriram won their doubles match 8-2.
Girls JV Tennis beat Avon South 4-3. Samantha Sinkovic, Chloe Wheat, Anna Vetter, and Kyie Valim all won singles matches.
Girls Varsity Tennis lost to Avon North 1-4. Mackenzie Steele won her singles match 8-1.
JV tennis had winners at 1 doubles with Shanti Sriram and Jillian McKain winning 5-2 and 3 Doubles of Olivia Wheat and Laura Matic winning 5-2.
